About The Role

What you will do


As a Test Analyst, you will work closely with the Test Manager, key internal teams and 3rd party suppliers to understand and interpret business requirements. This knowledge will then be used to complete planning activities to allow full test coverage during execution to deliver clarity of solutions to be delivered into STB.


Key Responsibilities

       Review project documentation such as business requirements, functional specifications and user stories to provide early analysis from a testing perspective

       Creation of test cases against specified business requirements and change requests with a clear set of acceptance criteria being produced as an output

       Capture traceability from test scripts back to requirements to prove that developed solutions have been fully delivered and tested

       Attend development show and tell sessions actively participating in the planning and quality gateway discussions

       Manual execution of test cases and capturing of results and supporting evidence across multiple test phases such as system, integration, regression and UAT

       Raise defects, providing detailed information to allow an appropriate severity level to be set and for the issue to be repeated ,investigated, resolved and retested

       Identify required test data sets ahead of execution

       Work closely with the Test Manager to ensure testing activities are aligned with the overarching Software Development Lifecycle used within IT Savings

       Identify risks early in the development lifecycle and escalate to the Test Manager

       Build relationships with internal business areas and 3rd party suppliers to ensure requirements and the delivery is fully understood

       Support business areas in system familiarisations and UAT preparation and execution activities.

What you will bring

       BCS ISTQB Software testing Foundation / ISEB Foundation (preferred)

       Knowledge and experience of working within a financial environment

       Practical knowledge of test case creation and execution associated front end and digital solutions

       Experience of testing mobile applications and digital solutions (preferred)
