What you will do
You will Identify and implement Commercial Metrics/KPIs and success factors which are required to measure against VF commercial strategy, business plans, goals, and objectives.
As part of the role, you will monitor and collate relevant data from across VF to ensure the availability and use of appropriate metrics to assist the defining (or re-defining) of future business plans or forecasts.
- Continuously analyse, evaluate, and interpret the commercial performance of all VF product lines thus generating data-driven insight (e.g. performance levels, trends, gaps, opportunities & risks, etc.)
- Present key findings and potential improvements, recommend solutions, options and draft business cases that exploit opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Explore and express opportunity by challenging credit and operational risk appetite, policy and/or practices where commercial performance could be maximised and allow senior management consideration for change of strategy or appetite.
- Liaise with compliance and legal experts to ensure any legislative or regulatory change is tested against our activities and validate that any development of commercial activity remains legal and compliant before pursuing.
- Oversee and manage the implementation and ongoing adherence of agreed actions to ensure best practice control and governance is in place with review, plans and follow up.
- Develop strong relationships with key Finance stakeholders and collaboratively develop pricing models that maximise profit and volume and credit quality within pricing and credit strategies.
- Research, model and recommend commercial expectations of distributors (dealers/brokers) (e.g. by account, by segmentation, by product, by credit quality, etc) to effectively measure performance against commercial expectations.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve robust review mechanisms (e.g. activity planning, analytical, reporting tools and outputs) which can efficiently challenge account performance and provides Account Managers with best-in-class data and ease of use.
- Identify requirements for market and competitor insight and develop relationships with external insight providers (suppliers, commentators) and plan for its acquisition. Collaborate and influence Sales team stakeholders to establish agreed methods of data collection that can be collated to add value to the insight.
- Collaborate and lead communication with all cross functional functions to ensure continuous improvement and the requirements of our customers and businesses. Help Change and IT with prioritisation and deployments.
