About The Role

What you will do

You will lead on the embedding of the Operational Risk Management Framework across the Secure Trust Bank Group by building close relationships with Business areas, providing support, insight and challenge. Provide second line oversight of Operational Risk including incident management, risk analysis, monitoring and reporting.  

The role involves working with a team of Risk Specialists to ensure the embedding of the operational risk management framework in STB and to support the achievement of strategic objectives within the approved risk appetite.

Key responsibilities in the role-

          Support the Group Head of Operational Risk in embedding the Operational Risk Management Framework and associated policies.

          Lead on creating Risk Reporting for senior executive committees.

          Develop strong working relationships with the business areas and functions you support, provide challenge and guidance to ensure strategic decision making is risk aware.

          Partner with the business in producing and updating Risk & Control Self Assessments, helping identify material risks and assessing control effectiveness

          Complete thematic risk-based reviews on specific processes or functions and working with the business to develop and enhance the overall control environment.

          Assist in the provision of training to aid the identification, assessment, management and recording of risks at all levels of the organisation.

          Act as a source of technical expertise on risk matters for others within the organisation.

          Lead on Scenario Analysis and assessing Operational Risk Capital requirements.

          Support on projects for the department to enhance and further embed the Operational Risk Framework at STB.

          Provide second line oversight across a range of risk categories including IT and third-party Risk.
