About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Finance professional to join us as Finance Director, Group and Corporate Development and lead the Finance team to deliver all financial, taxation and regulatory reporting, based on robust and well controlled financial information, and to use that information to provide insight, support and challenge to the Group’s business lines.
 
Key responsibilities 
 
As Finance Director, Group and Corporate Development you will lead and develop the Group Finance team to deliver excellent results across all aspects of its operation. You will be accountable for for production of the Group’s Annual Report and Accounts, ICAAP, Pillar 3 and all regulatory and tax returns, maintaining the integrity of the Group's financial information at all times. 
 
As a Senior Leader in finance you will ensure the team has appropriate technical expertise and applies it to ensure accounting and tax treatments are compliant and commercially focused, taking the lead with the Groups budgeting and forecasting processes and ensuring accurate and relevant financial information is provided to the Board on a monthly basis.

As a business we make no secret of our appetite for growth and you will support the CFO in corporate development activity for the Group including any potential mergers or acquisitions and investor relations activity.
 
What you will bring 
  • Extensive Financial Services experience gained within a Finance function 
  • Technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
  • Ability to interpret complex and detailed accounting, tax or regulatory requirements and apply them to the Group’s circumstances
  • Able to clearly explain technical areas such as accounting judgements to the Board and its committees, thereby ensuring informed buy-in
  • Understanding of the use of financial models to assess the outcomes of a range of scenarios;
  • Ability to develop the understanding of the business drivers behind financial performance;
  • Ability to discuss and negotiate complex issues with parties such as auditors, tax authorities or regulators;
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability and appetite to develop others.
