About The Role

Are you passionate about helping people grow, building capability for the future, and shaping a culture where learning truly matters? If so, this could be a brilliant next step in your STB journey.

We’re looking for a Senior Learning & People Development Consultant to play a key role in developing the skills, confidence and performance of colleagues across the Group. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves partnering with the business, designing high‑impact learning experiences, and using data to drive meaningful change.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll help us build a modern learning culture aligned to our strategic ambitions. You will:

  • Partner with leaders to understand capability needs and shape the Group’s learning strategy
  • Conduct learning needs analyses using data, performance insights and stakeholder feedback
  • Design and deliver blended learning solutions—from digital modules and microlearning to virtual and in‑person workshops
  • Take the lead on multi‑site induction delivery and corporate learning programmes
  • Use digital platforms (including our LMS and emerging AI tools) to enhance learning experiences
  • Support management and leadership development, coaching capability, and talent growth
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness, track impact and share insights that influence decision‑making
  • Help embed cultural change and promote a continuous learning mindset across the organisation

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and heart to their work:

Skills & Experience

  • Evidence of professional development in L&D, coaching, digital learning or organisational development — not necessarily formal certification, but demonstrable expertise.
  • Experience-based capability in instructional design, digital learning, learning analytics, and capability building.
  • Demonstrable AI literacy (understanding of generative AI tools, automation, and workplace AI adoption).
  • Experience delivering blended learning solutions at scale.
  • Ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision‑making.
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, agile, and evolving environments.

Behaviours

  • Strategic thinker with a consulting mindset
  • Curious, creative and solutions‑focused
  • Strong communicator and engaging facilitator
  • Empathetic and people‑centred
  • Willing to travel between our office locations

CIPD Level 5 is preferred but not essential—equivalent practical experience is warmly welcomed.
