What you`ll be doing
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to support the development, delivery and continuous enhancement of the Group's ICAAP, Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack. The role plays a key part in ensuring that capital reporting, planning, forecasting and stress testing activities are robust, accurate and fit for purpose, supporting both strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance. Working across the business, you will help strengthen the Group's capital management framework, providing insight and analysis that ensures the organisation remains well-positioned to meet its financial objectives and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Support the ICAAP and Recovery Plan delivery, engaging with key stakeholders including Risk, Finance & Treasury, Internal Audit and Divisional Leads as required. To include:
- Timetabling and Governance
- Updating stress testing approach and provide oversight of stress testing model development
- Review and challenge of stress testing results
- Preparation of milestone committee papers
- Ensure challenges are logged and actions addressed
- Support SREP preparation
- Manage the end-to-end preparation of Recovery Plan fire-drill materials
- Perform Recovery Indicator and Recovery Options reviews
- Produce high-quality written documents throughout the ICAAP, Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack process
- Support the maintenance, update, and refresh of regulatory capital forecasts periodically and in response to business & regulatory changes
- Scenario Forecasting and Reporting: Support in development of a suite of point in time and forecast scenarios reporting and analysis, producing insight and oversight to the Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO)
- Produce Capital MI for ALCO and support the COREP review process
- Maintain relevant knowledge and support the Group’s prudential horizon scanning group
- Support the delivery and be a key contributor to capital projects such as SDDT and Basel 3.1 implementation
- Work with the Strategy and Corporate Development team to support capital optimisation initiatives from a regulatory capital analysis perspective
What we`re looking for
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) preferable
- CertBALM, ACT, FRM, PRM are beneficial but not required
- IFR9 expected credit losses principles and practical application
- Bank Regulatory capital or risk experience, either in industry or an advisory/assurance capacity
- Financial planning, forecasting and modelling for a financial services business
- Practical working knowledge of banking & financial service organisations and understanding of financial products.
- Highly numerate, analytical and methodical
- Ability to organise, manage and prioritise work in order to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
