About The Role

What you will do
 
You will work with a Team of Operational Risk Specialists to deliver, implement and oversee the execution of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) across the Secure Trust Bank Group (STBG). The effective implementation and embedding of the ORMF supports the achievement of the Group’s strategic objectives within the approved risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Operational Risk Manager in developing strong working relationships with the business areas and functions; providing challenge and guidance to ensure risk is considered in all decision making.
  • Support the business areas and functions in the execution of their Risk and Control Self Assessments; helping identify material risks and assessing control effectiveness.
  • Complete analysis and interpretation of Operational Risk data to deliver valuable and insightful management information for use at governance meetings.
  • Complete thematic risk-based reviews for Senior Management collaborating with business areas and functions to develop and enhance the overall risk and control environment.
  • Assist in the development and provision of Operational Risk training across the Organisation.
  • Act as a source of technical expertise on risk matters for others within the Organisation.
  • Support on projects for the department to enhance and further embed the Operational Risk Framework at STB.
What you will bring
 
Operational Risk experience in financial services is proffered.
 
Excellent MS Office skills and the ability to design, build and deliver Operational Risk reporting for audiences at all management levels is essential.
 
The ability to use a wide range of analytical tools as well as project planning techniques.
 
Be able to communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues at all levels across the Organisation.
