What you will do
As an Underwriter You will be responsible for assessing retail credit applications from customers, making an informed decision whether to lend. These decisions are to be made in accordance with the companies lending policies, making sure the customer satisfies relevant credit reference checks. You will also identify potential fraudulent applications, liaising with other departments to investigate the situation.
What you will bring
Ideally, you will be from an Underwriting background or have experience in consumer lending. We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the lending application processes, and is experienced in working under pressure to strict deadlines.

How we work
Our standard full time hours are 35 hours per week and in the Underwriting team we operate a flexible shift pattern within the opening hours of 8.00am-8.00pm Monday-Friday, 9.00am - 6.00pm on Saturday and 9.00am - 5.00pm on Sunday.

We expect 50% of our colleagues time is spent onsite, however apply this flexibly in line with business requirements.
